Every self-portrait presented on this website originates from a real photographic capture, photographed by me using professional cameras, lenses, lighting, and established photographic methods, with me as the subject—either on location or in a controlled studio environment. Composition, pose, lighting, camera choice, and lens selection are intentional decisions made by me as both the photographer and the subject.
AI-ASSISTED TOOLS
Ai is used as a creative assistant—not as a replacement for photography or identity. All work remains grounded in real photographic captures of me as the subject, with Ai used only to support accuracy, continuity, and creative interpretation.
As a transgender woman who transitioned later in life, Ai-assisted tools within my self-portraiture give me agency over how I am seen, imagined, and remembered, allowing me to explore versions of myself that were never outwardly visible. In some works, Ai is used to help me visualize earlier or imagined versions of myself—not as literal history or documentary truth, but as personal reflection and artistic reconstruction.
These images are not about rewriting the past or present. They are about authorship, presence, and self-definition—using interpretation rather than disguise to explore my identity across time.
PHOTOSHOP & DIGITAL EDITING
Adobe Photoshop and related tools are used for compositing, color grading, exposure blending, background integration, and artistic refinement. This may include combining multiple photographs, extending environments, removing distractions, and enhancing mood and atmosphere. These edits do not alter my identity, body shape, age, or facial structure beyond what traditional photographic post-production allows.
